Hi Y'all
So right now I am sitting in my dad's office when I should be outside taking full advantage of this amazing weather. The sun has finally decided to come out (without the famous North Dakota wind) and it's gorgeous. I should go work on my tan aka my burn:) Maybe then I won't blend in with my white walls right Mike? Anway:) I promised I would try to write about something meaningful so we'll see how I do today. The last week have gone amazingly fast yet at the same time seem to be going so slow. Finals are starting soon in school and I actually am going to have to study this time. No staying up and having cram sessions since I don't think my head could handle it this year. Being a junior means harder classes and the unavoidable headaches come with it. So all last week I spent hours upon hours at the school decorating for prom and then Saturday the actual prom took place. Sunday I slept.. and slept.. and slept with a few interruptions (not really interruptions since they were phone calls from Kent) Monday I went to school of course and got a little stressed out with make-up homework from Friday. I had to do a history test and an algebra 2 quiz. The minute the last bell rang, Kacie (the girl in the beautiful red dress below) and I went to her house to get ready for Junior Senior banquet. We spent 2 hours getting all dressed up and such and putting our prom dresses back on to go back to the school. She tied my dress a little tight and I couldn't breath let alone eat all the yummy food that had been prepared by the Junior class Mom's. I also had to give that lovely speech. I was prepared well enough but when I got up to speak, there was no microphone. I had to yell my speech which was pretty entertaining to everybody (including myself) Oh well=) the cake and food was worth it. I'm a softy for food.
It was a goodnight last night though because our old history teacher, Mr. Entzi, came back to be our speaker. We haven't seen him for at least a year, since he had to move when his brother got killed in a farm accident. His speech was really funny and the poor guy was so nervous. I was sitting next to the podium where he was speaking and I could see his papers shaking in his hands. I wanted to just give him a hug and tell him to breath. That he had taught us for so many years and stood in front of all of us and spoke at least a thousand times:) It was great to have him back, even if it was just for a few hours.
So back to my little quote thing from a long time ago. The reason I have talked about quotes is because my class had to come up with one for graduation next year and putting "quotes" into the google search gets you all sorts of things, especially insurance. I left my paper of them back at school in my speech folder but I can remember a few so here you go (if you're even slightly interested =)
Life isn't about how many breaths you take, but about how many moments take your breath away (so maybe I'm a girly girl but this kind of makes me go "awww". Yes I am a goofball)
We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give ( how true is that? Giving is just as great, if not better than getting)
Okay so I'm going to wrap this up and go for a walk. Then maybe I'll head over to the tastee freeze and get a chocolate sundea with hot fudge.. hmm yum. I do believe I am a choco-holic. =) Take care y'all and God bless you tremendously:)
